My wife and I have known Boarnstream for many years. In 1987, we bought our first Boarncruiser, and later we acquired a second one. At that time, we wanted to move up to a 50-footer, but Boarnstream wasn’t ready for that yet, so we ended up with another Dutch shipyard. Since then, we have had several boats built at various Dutch shipyards and experienced a lot of issues. We are still customers of Boarnstream, and I have had my 65-footer in storage there for many years.
We are very appreciative of Boarnstream; they build high-quality boats, the finishing is top-notch, and the shipyard has a solid business philosophy. Their service is exceptional. It’s a wise shipyard; they always find solutions, and the fact that it’s a family business without outside investors is very appealing to us. The motivation of a family business is much more about long-term sustainability than quick profits. As a customer, I benefit from that.
