15th edition of the Boarnstream Skippertreffen

Friday, October 3, Boarnstream closed the 2025 boating season together with its customers at the Boarnstream Skippertreffen.
This Skippertreffen marked the 15th edition for Boarnstream since the event started in 1995 in Berlin. At that time, owners wanted a cozy gathering to meet, share stories, and connect.
After the successful Berlin editions, the event moved to the Netherlands in 2005, with Marex owners also joining. In the Netherlands, several locations have hosted the event, including Jirnsum, Stavoren, Franeker, and Volendam.

This edition started on the Fluessen lakes in Friesland, where around 30 Boarncruiser and Marex owners met. From there, they sailed in convoy via IJlst towards Sneek, where Boarnstream had rented a harbor for its guests.
During the evening program, even owners without a boat joined in. A special highlight of the evening was the collection of customer feedback from the 93 attendees regarding the Elegance “2.0”.

“Prior to this edition of the Boarnstream Treffen, we asked customers to start thinking about the Elegance ‘2.0’. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm during the evening. People really took the time to consider their ideas; several owners even brought their list of suggestions. One owner, who unfortunately could not attend, still sent his input via email. It was really wonderful to see, read, and hear,” said Wies Hokwerda, owner of Boarnstream Yachting.
This feedback will now be incorporated into the updated Elegance design. The new design is expected to be presented in winter 2025, with the first build exhibited at boot Düsseldorf 2027. “You can be assured that the new Elegance has been developed for and by the end users. This innovative approach is, I believe, unique in yacht building.”
The Treffen can therefore be described as very successful and gives Boarnstream great confidence for the future.
