Unique in yacht building: the renewed Boarncruiser Elegance developed for- and above all by- end users.
Since its launch in 2015, the Boarncruiser Elegance has proven itself to be one of the most popular and beloved series. With its elegant lines, comfortable single-level layout and excellent handling characteristics, the Elegance quickly captured the hearts of discerning boaters. The Elegance stands for luxury, refinement and the ultimate freedom on the water.
More than ten years after its introduction, and with over 85 Elegance yachts built to date, Boarnstream is taking on the challenge of refining this successful series even further. The guiding principle is simple: “Never change a winning team.” Rather than pursuing a radical change of direction, Boarnstream has chosen to further develop and improve the Elegance together with Boarncruiser owners, ensuring that the model aligns even more closely with the wishes of its users.
During the 15th edition of the traditional Boarnstream Skipper Meeting in September 2025, attended by no fewer than 93 Boarnstream owners, something unique took place in yacht building. Boarnstream actively listened to its owners. Their wishes, ideas and feedback regarding the future of the Boarncruiser Elegance were carefully collected and processed by the design team. One owner summed it up perfectly: “What we find so special about the Elegance is the direct connection with the water. It would be fantastic if we could experience the view even more, without compromising on comfort.” The result of this collaboration is clearly reflected in the renewed Elegance design.
The updated design not only offers a fresh appearance, but also improved functionality and comfort, directly derived from the experience and feedback of yacht owners. This design is being introduced for the first time in the new model: the Boarncruiser 48 Elegance – Wide Body. This new Wide Body variant offers an even more spacious layout, without compromising the iconic elegance and exceptional handling characteristics that make the Boarncruiser Elegance so beloved.
“Prior to this edition of the Boarnstream Meeting, we asked our customers to already start thinking along with us about the Elegance ‘2.0’ study project.
During that evening, it was fantastic to see, read and hear how enthusiastically and proactively people had engaged with this. People had truly taken the time to think it through; several owners even brought their lists of ideas with them that evening. One owner, who unfortunately could not attend due to circumstances, still emailed his input for the new Elegance afterward.
Almost all customers indicated that the elegant, modern design of the current Elegance is a very important design feature that must be preserved. Many of the ideas submitted were suggestions and wishes to make cruising even more enjoyable and luxurious—quite literally the finishing touches. All practical ideas that enhance cruising and onboard use, contributed by experienced watersports enthusiasts who own and use our Elegance yachts themselves.
This feedback has been incorporated by our design team and directly implemented in the renewed Elegance design. I think it is fair to say that this renewed Elegance has been developed for—and above all by—the end users. This innovative approach is, in my opinion, unique in yacht building.”
