I am both proud and honoured to be charged with managing this company, not only because I was raised in a shipyard, but especially because water sports runs deep through my veins. My aim is for you to enjoy as much of your spare time out on the water as possible. More than anyone else, I understand how owning a yacht adds value and enjoyment to your life. I know that nothing can replace the sense of freedom that comes with spending quality time on a yacht.

Birth of Boarnstream

Boarnstream is established in 1964 in Jirnsum by founding father Henk Hokwerda. First Boarnstream built were the Boornkruiser 900 ‘Noorderwind’ and the Boornkruiser 1050 ’Cassiopeia’.

The Yard

Since 1964 the family-owned company Boarnstream has grown to become one of the largest Dutch water sport companies. Attention to quality and beauty has led to various awards and a loyal, international clientele. Boarnstream delivers motor yachts in lengths from 10 to 30 m, is importer of Marex , certified yacht broker, delivers total yacht service, operator of a marina and above all supplier of water sport fun!

Our yard includes a 7000m2. In these m2 we have a production hall, refit halls, covered winter storage and fixed boathouses.

KNOWLEDGE & INNOVATION

A boat should last for many years without problems. Also under extreme conditions, as wind, salt water and waves are more the rule than the exception. We have the expertise in-house to serve you well. A school for ‘how to build a boat’, ‘how do I maintain my boat’, ‘how do I use my boat optimally’ or ‘where are the most beautiful sailing routes’ simply does not exist. Our team has gained their knowledge during practice! Therefore, we design most of the solutions ourselves.

We can support you with a full service package: guidance in the purchase and / or sale of your boat, maintenance, repair, refit, marina, winter storage, service station, but also assistance with mooring and, if required in operating your boat.
