“Brave Hendrik”

Boarnstream Yachting is equipped with a remarkable travellift named Brave Hendrik, capable of effortlessly hoisting and relocating vessels weighing up to 80 tons. This remarkable piece of machinery ensures that even the heaviest of yachts can be handled with ease and precision.

MagnusMaster Specialist

MagnusMaster is a fully electrically driven, non-hydraulic roll damping system for yachts up to 30 metres based on the Magnus effect. Instead of traditional fins, the system uses rapidly rotating cylinders which, subject to the direction of rotation, generate an up or downward pressure.

2 (Isolated / heated) refit halls

Hall dimensions: 11 x 38 m (Isolated / heated). Door dimension is 10m wide x 10m high. The 80-tons travellift can be completely driven into the hall, which saves time and money in terms of internal transport & putting on frames.

At Boarnstream Yachting, we recognize that yacht maintenance can’t always wait. That’s why we offer on-location service when something on your yacht is in need of repair. Our experienced team is ready to address any issues that may arise, from mechanical problems to electrical issues. We bring our expertise to your location, ensuring that your yacht is swiftly back in prime condition.

Refit

Our extensive expertise and experience in refitting both older and newer vessels stem from our extensive background in shipbuilding and maintenance. When it comes to a refit, every aspect of yacht restoration can be addressed, from replacing an engine or an entire propulsion system to upgrading navigation equipment and repainting a yacht. There are many reasons to embark on a refit journey. Some seek to modernize the onboard comfort, such as installing double-glazed windows or a Wi-Fi booster. Others aim to make their vessel more personalized by updating upholstery after purchasing a ship. In the field of navigation equipment and power supply, numerous advancements have emerged in recent years, prompting many ship owners to consider replacing their old gear. Think about beautiful touchscreen displays with camera connections and AIS capabilities. We would be delighted to inform you about the possibilities. It’s also possible to work on your vessel yourself, and we offer a refit hall that can be rented by the day, week, or month.

Maintenance

An ideal time to perform minor or major maintenance on your vessel is during the winter storage, preventing it from encroaching on your precious time during the boating season. Of course, maintenance is possible outside the winter season as well. We can even carry out small tasks or troubleshoot issues on-site. We offer a vast range of maintenance services, spanning from engine upkeep, tent cleaning and repairs to anode replacements. You can receive a price estimate in advance if desired.

Boarnstream Yachting offers covered berths in our facility called “Skipshûs”. Boarnstream Yachting is situated in the heart of the Frisian watersports and directly connected to the Prinses Margriet Channel, which is the “highway” for boating in Friesland.
